Turn your industry expertise into a business

Don't build another knowledge platform. Build your business on one.

You know your industry's documents, rules, and workflows better than any software company ever will. Sutram gives that expertise a place to live: launch a vertical knowledge solution on infrastructure where versioning, governance, MCP, and AI maintenance are already solved — and spend your time on the part only you can do.

Why now

Every industry needs its knowledge AI-ready. Generic tools don't speak your language.

AI agents are entering regulated and technical work — pharmaceutical dossiers, construction specifications, clinical protocols, engineering decisions. They are only as good as the structured knowledge behind them. Horizontal platforms don't know what a regulatory submission is, which document depends on which norm, or what an auditor will ask for. Someone who has spent a career in the domain does.

That gap is the business: domain experts who can encode their industry's ontology — its document types, lifecycles, and relationships — into a working knowledge layer their market can buy.

The model

You define the vertical. Sutram runs it.

A Sutram vertical partner packages their expertise as a configured solution: record categories for the industry's document types, governed lifecycles for how they move from draft to approved, typed relationships that encode how the domain actually connects, and AI agents that maintain it all under human governance. You sell the solution to your market; Sutram is the infrastructure underneath.

You bring

  • Domain expertise
  • Ontology — the concepts and relationships of your industry
  • Document types and approval workflows
  • Agents and prompt playbooks for your domain
  • Best practices your market trusts you for

Sutram provides

  • Knowledge infrastructure — evidence, versioning, audit trail
  • Governance and lifecycle engine
  • Collaboration and multilingual support
  • MCP and APIs — any AI model, any client
  • AI agent integration under your governance rules
  • Metadata, records, and the living knowledge graph

How it works

From expertise to launched vertical in four steps

  1. 1

    Map the domain

Together we translate your industry's document types, norms, and workflows into record categories, document classes, and typed relationships. This is the step where your career becomes an ontology.

  2. 2

    Configure, don't build

Lifecycles, permissions, metadata validation, and audit requirements are configuration on Sutram — not custom software. What would be a platform project becomes weeks of setup.

  3. 3

    Connect the AI

Your vertical ships MCP-ready: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any MCP client reads and writes the knowledge layer under the governance rules you defined. Agents draft, link, and maintain; your customers' people approve.

  4. 4

    Launch to your market

You sell with the credibility you already have. Sutram stays the neutral layer underneath — your customers own their knowledge and are never locked into a single AI vendor.

Buy the layer, own the vertical

The infrastructure is the part that doesn't differentiate you

Versioned evidence storage, checkout and check-in control, document lifecycles with audit trails, a typed knowledge graph, multilingual content, OAuth, MCP transport, agent governance — none of it is specific to your industry, and all of it takes engineering years to get right. Building it means competing with infrastructure companies before you ever reach your first customer. Configuring it on Sutram means your first customer conversation can happen this quarter.

Every conclusion remains traceable to the evidence that supports it — built for regulated industries.

An open layer

Your customers' knowledge stays theirs

Sutram is a neutral knowledge layer, not a closed ecosystem. It connects to any AI model through open protocols, exports to open formats, and never holds a customer's institutional memory hostage to one vendor's roadmap. For partners selling into regulated industries, that neutrality is a sales argument: compliance teams trust a layer they can audit, export, and govern.

Design partners

We onboard a small number of partners per vertical

Sutram is in its design-partner phase: we work closely with a limited number of partners in each vertical, with direct access to the engineering team, influence over the roadmap for your domain's needs, and joint work on the first customer deployments. In exchange, we learn your industry deeply enough to make the platform serve it well. When your vertical's slots are taken, they're taken.

What design partners get

  • Direct engineering support during ontology design and configuration
  • Roadmap priority for your vertical's requirements
  • Early access to new platform capabilities
  • Joint case development once your first deployment is live

Common questions

Do I need a development team?

No. A vertical is configuration — record categories, lifecycles, relationships, agent instructions — not custom code. Partners who want deeper integrations can use the REST API and webhooks, but the core model requires domain expertise, not engineers.

Who owns the customer relationship?

You do. You sell, onboard, and support your market; Sutram is the platform layer. Commercial terms are agreed per partnership.

What about data protection and compliance?

Sutram is built for regulated content: full audit trails, versioned evidence, role-based permissions, and governed lifecycles. Data protection requirements such as LGPD and GDPR are handled at the platform level; domain-specific compliance logic is part of what you configure.

Which industries are open?

The platform is horizontal. Current partner conversations are concentrated in pharmaceutical & regulatory, healthcare, and AEC — but if your industry runs on documents, evidence, and accountability, talk to us.

Can my customers use their own AI models?

Yes. The knowledge layer is exposed through MCP and APIs; customers connect the models and clients they already use. Sutram doesn't lock them into any AI vendor — and neither will you.
